Sleep better. Live better.

Sleep disorders

Every tenth employee  suffers from severe sleep problems with falling asleep and staying asleep, poor sleep, daytime fatigue and exhaustion. Since 2010, sleep disorders have increased by 66%.

According to a Forsa Institute survey of 5,200 women and men between the ages of 18 and 65, 80% suffer from sleep problems. Almost half are tired at work. 70% of the respondents did not go to the doctor and did not seek treatment. Every second person bought a sleeping pill without a prescription - mostly without sufficient information about risks and side effects. Almost one in four took sleeping pills for more than three years.

Sleep researcher Hans-Günter Weeß assumes that wrong decisions based on fatigue cause economic damage of 60 billion euros per year.

Small behavioral changes could have high effects for those affected. Weight reduction, improved sleep hygiene and proper exercise have been scientifically proven to have positive effects on sleep quality.

gfrafiSleep is the best medicine

We close our eyes and open them again the next morning. But what happened in the meantime? During sleep, the entire body is regenerated, the immune system and wound healing processes are stimulated, growth hormones are released and fat is burned.

Well rested we go safer through life. Due to inadequate ability to concentrate, accidents occur much more frequently. Statistics confirm that every fourth car accident is triggered by fatigue. Jodi A. Mindell, Professor of Psychology confirms: "Lack of sleep affects our thinking. It affects attention and decision-making. "

Untreated sleep disorders can end in a vicious circle. Consequences, missing days or accidents in the traffic and at the workplace are the result. According to a DAK health report, inactivity for sleep disorders increased by 77% from 2005 to 2015 to 3.9 missed days a year.

On the way to good sleep

On the way to better sleep, KME wants to accompany your employees. We have a multimodular
Concept designed so that sleep disorders can be detected and those in need of treatment can be helped on time. In fact, the quality of sleep can be increased by improving sleep hygiene, exercising and eating well with many employees. All participants are interviewed,
advise and receive individual recommendations. The process is shown below.

Our sleep monitor can be worn like a regular clock. In addition, a sensor on the index finger, and a pair of oxygen goggles worn on the nose. The advantage over other devices is that no cables need to be attached to the chest, which reduces sleep and measurement
disturbs. This easy-to-install watch records oxygen saturation, pulse rate, respiratory failure, airflow, and sleep and wake phases.

The staff will first receive a link to a questionnaire to record sleep quality, daytime sleepiness and restless leg syndrome. Filling out the questionnaires takes about 5 to 10 minutes and allows us to analyze sleep problems. The questionnaires have been scientifically evaluated.

Within a medical consultation, the questionnaires are evaluated and discussed. If the sleep monitor option is selected, the results of the day before and one night sleep monitor are analyzed. If there are indications of sleep problems, it is recommended to keep a sleep diary for two weeks.

The content of our interventions is based on the results of a meta-analysis by Carneiro-Barrera et al. (2019), in which the effectiveness of various interventions such as sleep hygiene, weight loss and exercise are highlighted. The most effective combinations were selected by us to improve the sleep of the employees.

Each employee has access to an online portal and can view his evaluation as well as the recommendations set by the doctor. The interventions are processed in multimedia. The employee gets access to instructional videos, as well as more detailed information about the individual interventions.

If a sleep diary is recommended in the consultation, the employee will be contacted over the telephone by a doctor two weeks after the first consultation to discuss the results from the sleep diary and to make recommendations.

Upon request, employees will receive a small amount of active reminder messages over a period of 3 months via a communication channel chosen by them, such as WhattsApp, SMS or e-mail.

After 6 months, we ask the participants about their experiences, the recommendations made and whether sleep has improved. The questionnaire should also discuss the status of motivation development and, if necessary, stimulate it once again.

For the implementation in the company, we offer three different variants, which are based on their needs. Thus, the measure is suitable both in large locations as well as for smaller teams or employees without a permanent place of employment.

We come to you in the operation. On two appointments on consecutive days, employees come to our doctors. Once about 5 minutes for the output of the monitors and answering the questionnaires, once for a 15-minute consultation.

In the event of abnormalities, employees are asked to keep a sleep diary for two weeks and then, as with all variants, to have another telephone consultation with the doctor.

Already after the first consultation, the employees get access to a personal portal and can experience the discussed recommendations in a multimedia-based way.

We order the employees for the two appointments. All we need is a room that does not need any special equipment. We take the appointment by phone or online.

We can advise 30 employees. This includes the consultations, the rice costs, the rent for the monitors and the preparation of the risk profile. If you book less than 3 days we will charge an additional fee of 600 euros for the output of the monitors the day before the first consultation. This issue can also be taken over by you.

is predestined for a small location, sales staff or fitters without presence in the company and therefore above all. Employees fill in the questionnaires via an online form. At your request, all employees receive the monitor, or only those with increased risk.

All consultations take place by telephone. The employees book through a portal appointments that fit their schedule.

We provide you with a link that leads to an online questionnaire. You will receive a ready-made, customizable invitation e-mail that you send to your employees.

The costs are made up of two components. The creation of the risk profile, the access to our portal on the one hand, the wearing of the monitors, the evaluation and the advice on the other hand.

comes complete without a sleep monitor. Employees fill in the questionnaires via an online form.

Employees at increased risk receive a counseling session. In the event of abnormalities, the employee will keep a sleep diary for two weeks after the consultation. This is followed by a second consultation in which the results from the sleep diary are evaluated. The then possibly necessary further sleep diagnostics is placed in the hands of the family doctor.

A link provided by us must be checked by your IT, if the employees can also gain access to the questionnaire and the portal. You send employees an email prepared by us and customizable for you to invite.
